OOTN: Keeping it simple

Hello people!

I rarely blog about outfits so here goes!

For my friends surprise birthday a few nights ago, I kept my outfit quite simple.

I love black shorts and tights because any top goes well with them! If you are keeping your bottom half plain and simple, you can go a bit crazy on the top to balance it, but I just chose a striped blouse I bought when I was in Prague! Such an amazing deal... €2.50!!!

I stuck to my "OUI" gold chain from Forever 21 instead of a statement necklace Id probably wear if I was going on a night out with the girls! One bracelet and voila, finished.

(Photo as it is with no edits, taken with my phone)

As for hair, you can see how my hair has some colour in it now! Well curls make those colours stand out more hence I always curl it when I'm going out. Plus, I think curly hair gives any outfit that elegant touch.

Hope you like it! I'm too much of a coward to go crazy with patterns haha

Love love,
Eneshai

*[Review] SUNKISSED Rapid Tan Mousse (Medium)

Hello fellow bloggers!

So recently I've been asked by SUNKISSED if I would like to review their new product, the Rapid Tan Mousse (Medium). After trying out and being super impressed with their Gradual Lotion (Medium)[review of it here] last year, I decided I'll give it a go, suuuuuuuure why not right?!

Like I said in my previous SUNKISSED review, I had never used fake tanning products prior to that gradual lotion, so this would be the second tanning product I've ever used to date! Therefore my review will be, literally, comparing the two products from SUNKISSED.

First impressions:
This time the product is a mousse, so the can is very nicely packaged and slick looking.

Application:
I personally felt it was tricky at the start and if you're not used to wearing fake tan, definitely practise putting it on beforehand. Because it is a rapid tan, the mousse dries into the skin MUCH quicker than the gradual lotion and the colour is more pigmented in comparison. When it says on the can to apply a little product at a time make sure you apply a little product at a time! It really does take practise because you need to get used to pressing the applicator not so hard enough, but just to get enough product out. Once you apply it on your skin, make sure you blend it out straight away to prevent streaks because as I mentioned it does dry quickly.

My personal experience:
As a novice, you can imagine I have never used a mousse tan before... therefore, I just followed the instructions as best I could! I tested this on my legs as you will see later.

I started off by showering and exfoliating. Then moisturized my knees.

SO... Let's begin. *giggles*

Because it's a mousse, I guess you've to "break the seal" of the black plastic-pressy-down bit.. (excuse my vocabulary but I don't know what to call it?)

I had the SUNKISSED mitt from before so used that. The breaking the seal bit is a little tricky, because you don't want to press TOO hard in case a LOT of product comes out in one go (which is what happened in my case!!!)
And I stupidly applied it all on the lower part of my leg which.. *sigh*.. I shouldn't have done. Anyways, like they say, you learn from mistakes and I somehow managed!!
I applied roughly 3 layers of this on as the last time 2 layers of the gradual lotion was a bit light.

TIP: Make try break the seal with your nails first, or if you squeeze too much, wipe some of it off with tissue because if you apply too much it sinks into your pores and looks baaaaad...

Here are the before and after pictures after 50 minutes:

As you can see there is definitely a colour difference and it looks very natural!!

I REAAAALLY like the colour here, but... little did I know, it was still developing after 60 minutes. This product is, no doubt, much more pigmented than the gradual lotion, so when I got into University, I noticed my ankles were DARK BROWN. Luckily I had long pants on! I also noticed a strong smell of fake tan? Not sure how to describe the smell, but if you smelled me yesterday you would know I had fake tan on..that kind of smell.

Cons:
There are a couple of cons with this product which I found. The smell was one thing that made me very self conscious as I walked around, maybe it was because I applied way too much product on? Not sure.
Also, this is not waterproof in any way, so if you are going out make sure you stay away from the rain, water or any drinks being spilled!! AVOID WATER AT ALL COST! I cycled to and from University, when I took my pants off, anywhere where I was sweating there were patches of white. Also, I had one shower and the tan just washed off.  But I guess that's a good thing in a sense that if you mess up on your application, you can start again (Always look on the bright side!)

Would you recommend this product?
As a fake tanning novice and if I compared this product to the Gradual Lotion, I would personally prefer the lotion. However, I would still recommend this product as it takes much less time to develop and as you can see from my before and after pictures that the tan is very much there and natural! It doesn't stain my skin and is easy to wash off if you just want a once off tan for the day/night.

Advice?
PRACTISE! Try it a few times to see how much product you need for your perfect tanned look. I would recommend going one layer at a time and seeing how it turns out after 1 hour because it does go quite dark after an hour! You can always build on it then.

I found that it dries into the skin rather quickly so perhaps after shower and exfoliating, moisturize all over, so that your skin don't absorb the mousse as quickly as it would if your skin was dry!

On a side note, you can compare the before and after pictures from the gradual lotion and the rapid tan mouse here:

(above: Gradual Lotion)
(below: Rapid Tan Mousse)

Has anyone else tried this product and had different results?
What are you thoughts?

[Review] Ogx renewing argan oil of Morocco

Hello fellow bloggers!

Hope you're all having a super weekend!

So I recently got my hair bleached and coloured for a hair show (not allowed post photos of it yet because the competition is still open) but I've never had my hair feel like straw before and that really scared me! So I used jasmine oil straight away and lathered it onto my hair and left it in over night! The next day I washed it and it felt much better! I have two types of argan oil I use, one for when my hair is still wet and another for when my hair is dry! Today I am reviewing the one I use on towel dried hair.

Ogx's renewing argan oil of Morocco (penetrating oil)

This oil is super lovely to use! I never used argan oil prior this as my hair has always been healthy (never bleached). A little goes a long way with this one.

So how to use this: I would pour a few drops onto my palm and then rub together until heated and run my fingers and palm through my towel dried hair. Only parts of my hair got bleached so I just focused on the bleached parts. My hair definitely felt softer and silkier after!

I bought this in Boots pharmacy! They are doing an offer at the moment, 2 for €13 and one bottle of these usually cost €10.49 so this is definitely a bargain!

Would i recommend this? most definitely! It smells amazing too!

Have any of you guys tried this yet?
Let me know!

*[Review] Argan Dew: Replenishing hair mask

Hello my lovelies!
Winter is the time of year when nasty bugs and viruses come out in their swarms and make people sick.. and I was unfortunate to have been sick the last week, hence the delay in post!

Anywho, I don't know if any of you have heard of Argan Dew but they do really amazing products for hair! They sent me out 4 samples: 2 Miraculous Argan oil daily hair treatment and 2 Replenishing hair mask

Sounds stupid but I've been trying to find the right time to use them! Because I feel like it'd be a waste of these awesome products if I use them and then am just cycling and working and exercising the next day... Kinda want to show off my awesome hair ya know? haha

So, so far I've only used the hair mask once and I have to say I'm really impressed! I would describe my hair as healthy, shiny and soft, so most hair products I use just keeps it that way. That's why I was so surprised after I used the hair mask that it felt unbelievably softer than what I was used to! Couldn't help but stroke my hair for a while! hahaha

Pros:
- Extremely easy to use
- makes hair feel super soft
- makes hair feel silky
- you hair will feel simply amazing

Cons:
- can't think of any!

It is a little pricey though at 35e ($44) for 250ml, but if you want your hair super soft, silky and amazing then it is worth it! You do get what you pay for!

Would you recommend this product? YES!

Now I have yet to try the daily hair treatment.. but I think I will do it over the weekend!

So look out for the review of this product next week!

Have anyone tried these products yet??

Have a wonderful Thursday!
Lots of love,

[Review] HealGel Eye

Hello!

So if you remember back in April this year I did a review on the packaging for HealGel Eye and never managed to get to write a review of the actual product itself due to unforeseen circumstances! Well... HERE IT IS!

After using it for over a month now, I can tell you guys how I felt about this product! I'll always remembered that time before I ever started using any eye creams/gels, the skin under my eyes were quite dry so one day when I went to visit my cousin, she said I look like I'm in my 30s. Shocked I was and she pointed out all the lines under my eyes and I was so self conscious after that!

So, what did I learn? That dry skin is a definitely a BIG no no if you want to prevent wrinkles/fine lines! Because when your skin is dry it creases easily, especially under the eyes because the skin there is so thin. When that is prolonged then that's one way how wrinkles and fine lines form and stay. So it's VERY important to keep it moisturized!!

"HealGel Eye is a peerless anti-ageing formula that can help to diminish the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines" for full description click here.

Pros:
The skin under the eyes are so sensitive and thin so this gel is lovely and moisturizing for it and it's also easily absorbed! I noticed that it does make my eyes feel refreshed and a great thing about it is it's not greasy at all!
Also I have noticed that my eyes are AS puffy as they used to be before I used the gel so that's definitely a plus!
HealGel Eye is super easy to use and the packaging of the container makes it very hygenic as unlike the tub containers (where you constantly dipping your fingers in), bacteria can't get to the gel.
When applying the gel make sure you don't rub it in! Gently spread it onto you skin using your ring finger and then once it's evenly spread, dab it gently around the skin until it's all absorbed.
Also to those who are vegans, it's vegan friendly! Contains no animal products! :P

Cons:
Now, I don't know if it's just because I don't have much or any wrinkles, but I haven't seen much difference in my "fine lines" under my eyes.. (I quote, because apparently I'm the only one who notices it where as everyone else says I've not a wrinkle on my face!) Now, it could be preventing any further "fine lines" by keeping my eyes moisturized!

So to be honest, there really isn't a REAL con to write on this product!

HealGel don't only just do eye gels, they have a range of other products as well!
You can check them out here!

Has anyone else tried this product yet??
What are your thoughts?

[Review] Empties #1

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend (and a LONG one if you're in Ireland... not sure if everyone else got the Monday off!)

SO here is my FIRST post on empties!! I don't know about anyone else, but my products seem to last a lift time, thus finishing anything is like a huge accomplishment for me!

Products:
No.7 Protect and Perfect Night Cream
No.7 Protect and Perfect Day Cream
No.7 Protect and Perfect Serum
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip protectant
Vichy Aqualia Thermal 24 hour hydrating care
Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture 24 Eye Cream
Twinnings Cranberry Green Tea

Lets start with the reviews one by one!

No.7 Protect and Perfect Day and Night Cream
Thoughts: I really liked these products as they really moisturized my face throughout the day! They also have SPF15 giving me some protection from the sun which is nice. :) I only noticed AFTER the creams were used up that my "fine lines" were barely noticeable! SO I guess that is a big bonus! I used this cream with the serum!
Recommend? I would recommend it if you are looking for a good anti-ageing cream. Boots say that the "Protect and Perfect" range is for the age group 25-30. :)

No.7 Protect and Perfect Serum
Thoughts: I never used to consider serums because I thought they were waste of money, but this serum has really reduced my fine lines! I used it after washing my face and I'd use the day/night cream over that after.
Recommend? Yes :)

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour lip protectant
Thoughts: I really liked this because it does keeps your lips super moisturized and the application is so smooth and it comes out clear! Also having SPF 15 is a plus!
Recommend? I bought this one on sale for 5 euro, but I think at full price it's a bit pricey. I'm sure there are lip protectant out there that's cheaper and works just as well.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal 24 hour hydrating care
Thoughts: This was a sample size but I do like it. It does what it says, hydrating the skin. I had this in my wash bag for when I was out and loved this because it kept my skin feeling hydrated all day long!
Recommend? I'd recommend it, but I probably wouldn't buy it because it's quite expensive. I'm sure there are other creams out in the market that does the same thing for half the price because all it does is just hydrate your skin.

Elizabeth Arden Perpetual Moisture 24 Eye Cream
Thoughts: My first eye cream I bought when I was in Hong Kong. It was on sale down to 15 euro so I thought I'd give it a go seeing as my auntie there is always telling me I need to look after the skin under my eyes because there's lots of fine lines there... *sigh* Well, what can I say. It was OK. All it did was moisturize the skin around the eye area. There's nothing special about it. But I guess keeping the skin around the eyes moisturized does help prevent wrinkles.
Recommend? No. At the price you are paying for this you might as well get an eye cream that has anti-ageing properties.

Twinnings Cranberry Green Tea
Thoughts: I drink a lot of green tea these days because it's better for you than milk tea or coffee, also it doesn't stain your teeth! :) At first, I didn't really like the taste because it was just weird, but after a few cups, I started to enjoy it more and now I love it!
Recommend? Yes! If you want something different from your usual green tea, I would definitely recommend this! You might think it tastes weird the first few times, but give it time, you will come to really enjoy it! Nom nom :)

So there you have it! My first empties post with their reviews! :)

Hope you enjoyed it and if there's anything I can improve on with this kind of post to make it more enjoyable to read or even just make it better please comment and let me know.

Lots of love,

Short hair, yay or nay?

Hello and happy Friday everyone!

So I have recently dyed my hair black black and I really love it because black goes with everything and anything (in my opinion anyways!)

My hair was up to my hips and I trimmed it yesterday so it's up to my waist now. Thing is, I'm rather bored of my hairstyle and have been contemplating getting it chopped for a while now but haven't really plucked up the courage to just go for it!

SOooo.. I thought I'd ask around and see what you guys think? If I was getting the chop I'd go for long front and short back.

This is what my hair is like now.

Sooo.. short hair, yay or nay??

Looking forward to hearing what you guys think,

Lots of love

[Review] Jessica Simpson Nude 'Waleo' high heel platform court shoes!

So recently my love for shoes have blossomed and I adore high heels now hahahaha. I feel they just make women look more confident and elegant and beautiful and the list goes on! :D I have always found it hard to get a pair of heels that fit me right or that are comfortable to wear for long hours. My friends mentioned that Jessica Simpsons heels are super duper comfy and I just acknowledged it but never really tried them! So last month when I was browsing online (Debenhams.ie) I found a pair of patent nude Jessica Simpsons heels!

There went from 120e down to 49e, so I thought to myself, sure let’s see what’s so great about these shoes and if I don’t like them I can always return them and get my refund! So when they arrived I fell in love instantly! They are UNBELIEVABLY COMFORTABLE! The insoles are real spongey and the second your foot slides in you know they are worth the money! hehehe. The quality is great too so I know I'll get a lot of wears from them! I could definitely see myself wearing them for the whole day and not get tired walking in them.

Have any of you tried a pair of Jessica Simpson heels?! What are your opinions?

Lots of love,

*[Review] SUNKISSED Gradual Lotion (Medium)

Hello to you all!
Hope you're all having a super duper summer! I have been unbelievably busy the past few weeks so I'm so sorry for delay in post!! But here I am... hopefully with regular posts! *fingers crossed!*

So what have I got for you today?? Another review! I was sent this lovely item from Sunkissed a few weeks back which I was really excited to try since I've never EVER used any tanning/fake tan products before... Eeeek! They gave me a choice between the gradual lotion (Medium) or the mousse (dark) and I chose the gradual lotion in Medium as I had NO idea what to expect! Better ease myself in rather than go all out! And they also sent me a lovely self tan applicator mitt!

First impressions:
Everything was well packaged and easy to use! The bottle is a squeezy bottle... it has a rubber nozzle thing(?) in it that lets you squeeze the right amount you want. The bottle itself is well presented, simple but looks well! The mitt was nice and soft, and pretty straight forward to use.

Application:
So seeing as I've never done this before, I just used it on my legs to test it to see how it'll go! The lotion came out white... which I was a little surprised because I just assumed it was going to be brown! But anywho, I squeezed some onto the mitt and started rubbing the lotion in gently. I followed the instructions written on the bottle and hoped for the best! Great thing was it dried pretty quickly which is handy so I wasn't left standing around! The mitt was good because the lotion didn't seep through the mitt and onto my hand so I was happy about that (I've seen way too many people with orange hands after fake tan applications!hehehe)

Before (left) and after (right)

As you can see, there isn't a HUGE difference in the colour, most likely because my skin colour is naturally a little tanned... but I did notice a LITTLE bit of a colour.. more glowy than tanned I would say (It does say on the bottle "Natural Golden Tan" so I guess I was glowing with natural golden-ness!) hehehe
The great thing about the lotion is that it smells amazing! Not like the usual tanning lotions you'd smell... *puke*. This smells so sweet and delightful, just like a nice body lotion. It also contains shea butter and Vitamin E which leaves your skin feeling smoooooth and hydrated.

Would you recommend this product?
To be honest, I can't fault this product and it being my first experience with fake tan, I would say it was a pretty good experience! The medium is most likely best suited for a paler skin tone to mine if you want a visible tan colour, so I probably should have gone for the dark mousse, but at least now I know! The lotion smells amazing, doesn't stain (at least not for me!) and it's just so easy to use! Also.. just touched my legs there and they feel super soft and smooth! hahahaha.

So all in all, I would recommend you this product.. even to try it out! No harm trying. :P

Have any of you used this product yet? What do you think?

**UPDATE**
This is after a couple of hours!

SoI looked into the mirror just there after a few hours after initial application and the colour seems to be getting "gradual"-y more golden... Mmmm.. I am liking it!! And the great thing is it looks natural!

**UPDATING THE UPDATE!!!**

So this is the next day! I woke up this morning and was like.. wow.. my legs have colour!!! So it's like it says on the bottle, it's "gradual"! So if you want naturally tanned looking legs, do it the day before!!

This is the true before and after! :)

One thing I did notice though was that after a while, when the nice smell went, it started smelling like fake tan.. and quite a strong smell to which sticks to your skin, so anyone who don't like fake tan smell, you've been warned! :) but if you don't mind the smell then ALL'S good because I would recommend this product for you! Great results and super easy to use!! Quick and mess free! :D

Hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

[Review] Waterwipes sensitive make-up remover

TGIF hehehe!

So, I've heard all the raves about Waterwipes and how amazing they are... but I'm a bit "meh" about this one, don't hate it, don't love it. I guess for one I don't have sensitive skin so I can't comment on that part, but I find that the wipes themselves a bit...dry? When I used them I find that I'm rubbing my face quite sternly to try get the makeup off. I would use one wipe to get as much make up as I can off and then wash my face with face wash after because I never feel that the wipes remove the makeup 100%. To be honest, I would never be bothered with wipes because washing my face with face wash is far better as you're not rubbing your face as hard, thus reduces the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles. Can't remember where I heard/read it before but basically, if possible, wash your face with face wash rather than using a wipe because the wipes will give you wrinkles (from all the rubbing).

Would I recommend this product?
I can't say for certain to people with sensitive skin because I just don't know, maybe it's great for those with sensitive skin, but for people with normal skin, I would just say invest in a face wash. For me, I got this in the goodie bag at the Irish Bbloggers Meetup hence why I thought I'd try it out and give it a review, but after trying it out I wouldn't buy it. Face wash all the way! :)

Has anyone else tried this yet?? What do you think?

[Review] Scandaleyes Mascara by Kate Moss (Jet Black)

Hello my fellow bloggers!
Thank god it's FRIDAY!! I just am so happy to have the weekend to myself! haha

The first of the Rimmels "Scandaleyes" range I reviewed was their eyeshadow paint [here]. I have to say I really love the product so I was looking forward to trying out their Mascara in Jet Black from this range! So here goes...

As you can see, the packaging is rather slick and stylish (simple but stylish!) Only thing bad to say about the packaging is that it's rather bulky so it does take up a bit of space in your makeup bag (at least that's what I noticed with mine)!

Rimmel called this application brush a "broken heart brush". Now, in my honest opinion, I had such a problem with this brush. It was simply just too big (as you will see in the photo below). The base of the brush was so massive I found it really hard to apply the mascara on cleanly so I had to use the tip of the brush for the application. The size of the brush just seemed rather pointless to me as I couldn't even use it properly. The only good thing about the brush shape was that I found applying the bottom lashes a bit easier... but that doesn't really compensate for the messy application to upper lashes.

The mascara itself (not the brush!) didn't really do much apart from make my eyelashes black-er and a tiny bit longer (I haven't tried any other colour yet, but when I do I'll let you know!) It's quite wet, hence when using the big-ass brush to apply it onto your eyelashes it can get messy, and the fact that you need multiple layers for you to get any volume in your lashes makes it more stressful.

Another thing is it's not waterproof in the slightest! One touch of water and it will run, so make sure if you're using this mascara on your night out or whenever that you turn your "water-works" off for the night, no matter how much you've drank (i.e. cry and you'll find your mascara running down your face). Though I guess it's not all bad, I mean if the mascara gets EVERYWHERE when you are applying it, it means it'll be super easy to get off! Also it's very easy to remove at the end of the night, water works a charm and that means you won't have clumps of left over mascara on your lashes over night (that can be a reason for sties!)

As you can see in the photo above, the left lashes has mascara on and the right is bare. The main difference is the left side is darker and a tiny bit longer than the right.

Would you recommend this product?
This product retails at €9.49 in Boots if anyone wants to try it out, but I wouldn't recommend it. I think you'd find other products that are much better at that price or just a little more! For €9.49 you're paying for the stress of the mess after the mascara application. On top of that, it doesn't really do much, at least not for me.

Okay, rant over. To put it simply, I would not pay for this product because it takes too long to apply and the mess after is stressful at times.

Anyone else tried this mascara before?? Did you guys have the same problem?

[Review] CG Smoothers Lipliner (Burgundy Velvet) with Lancome L'absolu Rouge (360)

Hello my fellow bloggers! So today is the first day back in a very long time, so I bring you a review on 2 products (and more reviews to come!)!

So here is the red lipstick I have been using recently!!

It's from Lancômes L'absolu Rouge range and it's number 360! What I love about this lipstick is it's SO easy to apply and does not dry your lips out! It last for quite a long time (must time it next time to be 100% sure!) because I never seem to need to reapply ... maybe once after a meal. I love Lancôme lipsticks as I know for a fact that they are high quality and is moisturizing on my lips! There is a very faint lipstick smell but you wouldn't really notice it unless you intentionally went to smell it nor does it taste of anything (though I wouldn't recommend licking the lipstick of your lips...even the thought of it isn't appealing).

To stop the lipstick from bleeding out, I tried the Cover Girl Lipliner in Burgundy Velvet which is a deep red colour. The great thing with this is it's so easy to use and the application is so smooth! You could even use it by itself as a lip colour because it's just as good as a lipstick! Only con I would say about this is that you need a pencil sharpener in your makeup bag as it's not an automatic liner. But I bought this online for €1 so I ain't complaining!

If I am wearing red lips, I usually keep my eyes very simple, I tend to just use mascara! Unless on a night out or something I might do some smokey eyes, but it's very dramatic just on a daily basis! Red lips really does make you stand out of the crowd, so I don't wear it that often, only on a night out or meeting friends in the evening.

Has anyone else tried any lipstick from the Lancôme L'absolu Rouge range or Cover Girl lipliners? What do you think? :)

[Review] Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow paint (Golden Bronze)

Hello my lovelies!
I know it's been a long while since my last post, been up to my eyes with work and pretty much pass out on my bed when I get home! haha. This week has been very tiring because I cycled to work and back everyday which is about 1hour and 10minutes everyday, and as well as that I am on my feet for the whole time I'm at work as I work with in a Montessori! First week of cycling to work complete and absolutely wrecked! My friend asked if I want to do yoga with her in the mornings at 6am before work and I kindly rejected the offer. I think if I did yoga as well as all the cycling and running around with kids I'd probably die from exhaustion!

Anywho, my post today is a review on Rimmel's lovely eyeshadow paint ScandalEyes in Golden Bronze! I was always a bit skeptical about eyeyshadow paint as I had the idea in my head that it'd be just wet and very messy to use, but I was so surprised by how easy this was to use and apply onto my eyelids!

The applicator is very easy to use and a single swipe of this on your eye lids and you're pretty much sorted! It's extremely pigmented and the good thing is it dries reasonably quick and once it dries it doesn't budge!!

You could really just use the eyeshadow paint by itself because the colours are just stunning!!

This is after I applied eyeliner!

And here is my finished look!

Would I recommend this product?
Yes I would definitely recommend this product! It's so easy to use and the colours are honestly amazing!

Any cons?
The ONLY con with this is that you can't really blend it into other colours because it's liquid and when it dries, there's no blending you can do to it, but then again the fact that it doesn't budge when its dried means you can use other colours ON TOP and then blend those colours out over the eyeshadow paint! That's what I did with the black! I just used a bit of black eyeshadow at the end of my eyes and blended the black out. (I don't know if I'm making sense, but I am trying really hard to explain it! :P)

But all in all this product is super and a little goes a long way!

Have any of you guys tried this out yet? If so, how did you find it??

[Tutorial] Super easy beach waves (WITHOUT ANY CURLERS!!)

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

So today I bring you a very simple tutorial, how to get really nice natural beach waves/curls without the need of heated curlers or curlers in general!!

It takes less than a minute to prepare and then all you need to do is wait!

So here you go!

If you're planning on doing this look, you first need to wash your hair. After, towel dry it and then blow dry your hair about 70% dry (do it upside down for more volume!)! Once it's mostly dry, apply some hair spray around the head (very general) twist your hair up (half way up your head) into a bun, it doesn't have to be neat, but just make sure you twist it up!
Once that's up, you are free to prep yourself up, ie do your make up, get dressed, have dinner, whatever it may be and I would usually take it down 30minutes before I leave the house!

The final part, take the bun out, turn your head upside down and ruffle your hair out with your hand (don't run your fingers through your hair) and then spray hair spray again to hold it in for the day!

TIP: The longer you leave the bun in, the bigger the waves/curls, so if you like, you could wash your hair in the morning and then leave it in the bun until the evening time! A minimum of 1.5 hours in a bun for the hair in the picture above.

Best part of this is it looks natural and so easy to do!

Hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial! If you are a bit confused at some parts, feel free to comment or if you would like a video tutorial, do let me know. :)

Lots of love,

[Review] Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Colour with LYCRA® (Goddess)

Sorry for the lack of posts! Work has been busy with new babies coming into the Montessori! All the crying can be painful for the head, but then again when I see their cute little smiling faces I've forgiven them all! Also just did my interview for Pharmacy in Trinity College Dublin. I am applying as a graduate student, so I have an interview as well as applying through the Central Admissions Office. It was so scary! I was soooo nervous and I waffled so much that I had to actually stop myself from talking and apologise to the people interviewing me because I was talking too much and sometimes going off the point. *sigh* So all I can do is hope for the best!

So here I bring to you the lovely Rimmel Salon Pro Nail Colour with LYCRA® by Kate in the colour Goddess!! If you read my last post you'll see that I got this in the gift bag from the #LLAMmeetup!

Well what can I say?! The second I saw this I was unbelievably happy and excited to try it out, in fact, this was the very first thing I tried out from the gift bag! Nevermind the nail polish, the packaging of this product is so slick and professional that it makes every penny worth it! The lid is of a matte black with the Rimmel logo on the top and slightly angled top (i.e. not flat top) which I think makes it look expensive which it really isn't, retailing at €6.49 in Boots!

I have always wanted a coral nude with a warm undertone because I have warm-undertoned skin colour (if that makes sense?) and this was perfect! I have pink nail polish but when it's cool toned against warm tone it does look slightly off, though after a while you just get used to it and you think to yourself "ah it looks fiiiiine now!"

The great thing with this is I think it would suit any skin tone, EVEN if you're cool toned! It's just one of those colours that anyone can wear! The perfect nude one might call it!

The application was very easy, and I did make sure that the polish was completely dry before applying the next layer!
TIP: To prevent bubbles forming on your nail polish on your nails, wait till each layer is completely dry before applying the next layer!

I did about 4 coats on mine, only because I was watching a movie and had lots of time to do nails but 3 was fine!

I've had so many compliments with this nail polish it makes me so happy! People at work have asked if I got shellac nails or where I got my nails done, are they gel nails, etc etc. and I'm like nope, just Rimmel's nail polish. And they all looked so surprised! Which is a good thing, so well done Rimmel!

I would definitely recommend this product to everyone and this will now be my go to nude nail polish! It's just so pretty!

Hope you enjoyed this review and Woooo! It's FRIDAY! Have a great weekend everyone!

Irish BBloggers Meetup - Dublin!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!

I know it's late.. well sort of.. but I wanted to write a post about something A-MAZ-ZIIING I went to yesterday! So some of you may know and were there, but others that don't, yesterday I went to my first every bloggers meetup, which was organised by the lovely Hannah from Love, Life and Makeup!! I had NO idea what to expect so when my sister asked me "what you going to be doing there? Do you know anyone there??" I was like.. "uumm... to be honest, I don't know...? Chat to some people? Make some new friends? Mingle??" I was so nervous but excited!! I even forgot to take a photo of my outfit and makeup I did! I'm sure there will be some photos floating about soon! :) Maybe I'll "borrow" some for my post later... hehehe.

This was the goodie bag from yestserdays meetup and I got such a lovely surprise when I opened it!!! I'M IN LOOOOOOVE <3 Everything is so beautiful and pretty! I'll do a review on these products in my upcoming posts! Let's continue...

It was such a great day yesterday and I'm so glad I went because I met some really nice girls there that I wouldn't have met otherwise! I've never heard of Nima Brush before so I'm real glad Niamh gave a lovely demonstration and I'm really amazed at their products now! All their brushes are so soft and there's plenty to choose from and I'm seriously amazed by the NIMA Mitt! It's really cool! You just need to add water onto the Mitt and it pretty much removes everything off your face for you... I was like:

... but in a good way!! I mean, I'm really intrigued and want to try it out! :P

Hannah introducing Niamh from Nima Brush to everyone!

The beautiful Amy being a model for Niamh.

Niamh did an amazing job with the Makeup (Bridal style!) and Amy looked ready for the aisle! Hehehe

I stopped taking photos with my camera after the first few minutes because the quality wasn't great and made peoples faces look greasy.. *tear tear*. So I took some photos on my phone, but not many at all!

There was a demonstration by Benefit as well and the lovely Zoë (Note the umlout Zoe! :P) was the model!

After the demonstrations Hannah organised a raffle in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland and she had some pretty awesome prizes lined up! (don't ask, I can't remember!) But I was so shocked when she called out my ticket number because I NEVER win anything (SERIOUSLY!)..It just hit me from no where that that's my ticket and I had to go up and pick a prize.. I was thinking to myself "I don't even know what the prizes are!" And looked at the envelopes and thought "nope... no idea what you are!" so I picked the necklace, donated by the lovely Lisa from Pink Sugar Sparkles and I'm so glad I did because it's really beautiful! Plus, I didn't even notice that there was a gift voucher from Hannah in the envelope too! Bonus! *dances around room*

After all the demonstrations and the raffle, everyone just talked to one another and I tried to get chatting to a few bloggers, but it was hard to get around to everyone because there were loads of people there and by that time people tend to have formed small groups and I felt a bit like I was intruding... but I still went for it anyways! hehehe (apologies if I annoyed anyone there!)

There's a lovely group photo of Hannah with some bbloggers!

I just want to finish off this post by saying a huge thank you to Hannah for organizing all this! And I got to say she is a super lovely girl and serious kudos for all the hard work she put in! Everyone had a super time and I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for any upcoming meetups and hopefully meet some of you lovely Irish bloggers soon!

Lots of Love
